All the front desk staff I interacted with over the phone before I arrived and when I stayed there were polite, friendly and patient. I loved the honeybee theme of the hotel and location in the quiet part of Foggy Bottom. The furniture in the room is modern and functional. The showers were cute and have good water pressure, the writing on the walls of the room is amusing, . I felt very safe walking around alone at night as a solo female traveler, and there were GWU students out in the quiet streets late at night too. It was a short walk from the Metro station.

Chanta at the front desk was super great every time. She also gave us umbrella to use for the evening of which we definitely needed when we walked back from the Kennedy Center. She checked in on shortly after we got to our room to make sure all was well. Very Friendly, very kind. I sure hope THE HIVE also recognizes her for her efforts too ensure guests are happy. Room was very clean and bright.; Bed was great. Bathroom just right. Though if you have a TON of luggage - that might be a challenge. We had 2 carry ones and back packs and they fit just right.

Fantastic location to use as a base to explore DC. I walked pretty much everywhere and it was easy to come and go from the hotel. The pizzas are amazing and well worth having while you're there. The rooftop terrace was awesome to hang out on to have a few drinks and watch the sunset. The staff were excellent and super helpeful and had great tips for things to see and restaurants to eat at. I really enjoyed my stay here and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Management put us on the top floor, we were traveling during a slow time of year. We appreciated how quiet our room was and how much privacy we enjoyed. The reviews we read stated that the lowest floor was noisy. We didn't have that issue at all. We also liked the rolling under-bed storage drawers, since there was not a closet in the room. We also liked that the Hive was so close to George Washington University and the Kennedy Center.

The reception are great! I would like to call out Kara, who has processed my check-in and check-out. She’s amazing! Always greet me with a smile and very passionately helped me navigate through DC as this is my first time visiting. The hotel is honestly great value. The room is small but it’s more than enough for me. The location is amazing! Super close to the Lincoln Memorial (around 15mins walk) and other tourist attraction spots.
